This blog is about polar bears, cool websites on the net and a little bit about me:)

The beauty of photography

Polarbear fact 6# Polar Bear fur is oily and water repellent. The hairs don't mat when wet, allowing the Polar Bears to easily shake free of water and any ice that may form after swimming.
Polarbear site 6# Artic Photo - There are some really beautiful photos of polar bears here! Also check out Norbert Rosing's site mentioned below.

Website I like 6# Anton Corbijn's home page- This is my favorite photographer. His photography is stunning. And he is the regular photographer to my favorite band; Depeche Mode.

Blog I like 6# Gentse Koppen This is one of the many photo blogs I browse from time to time. I love this photographers ability to photograph people in their naturally poses and still be able to capture something special. I love how most people seem completly unaware that they are being photographed. And those who are aware have delightful expressions on their faces.

This is the earliest photograph known to have surived. It is taken by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce, the world's first photographer:

Fact about me 5# I love photography as you might have noticed.. I still dream as being a professional photographer one day. Illness put a stop to my plans to switch from the university to photo school. And I haven't been able to affoard any new cameras after my last one died. But one day... :)

Thing that makes me happy 5# Taking pitcures makes me happy!
Thing I did today: I sorted out some photos. I have tons of pitcures lying around waiting to be put into frames or albums.

Ohh, that sounds nice, to get to sort through all your photos... I have so many, too, but they are not organized and it is very frustrating when I want to scrapbook them!!

Thanks for the comments on my blog candy. I read different books. I like love stories, but not smutty kinds. My favorite author is LaVyrle Spencer. She wrote "Period Love stories" (that what my hubby said they would be called...love stories usually set in the old west, or different time periods.) I have read Memoirs of a Geisha and thought it was a very good book! Thanks for the suggestions!

hello again! i'm so glad you keep coming back to my blog. Your comments today were fascinating! i think you should blog about some of your experiences. especially to us in America, we haven't really experienced things like that nor let alone seen it. it was really interesting read and to realize that life isn't always rosey like we Americans have it. i've seen specials on the gypsy children. and it is sad how they have to get $ for their parents to drink. horrible life. i'd like to hear more about your illness when you have time. not out of nosiness, but that's me, i like to know the facts on people, what they are going through and if and when i can ever do anything to help, etc..... my personal email is Keeshagirl4@aol.com. it was also very nice of you to run after the man on his bike to give him his $! you seem like a very sweet and genuine person.

I think photography can be just beautiful. My foster mother takes the most wonderful photos, she has such a good eye for it. I, on the other hand, don't have such a good eye for it and am only happy with photos I have taken after I have put them through LOTS of editing in Photoshop! :)
I do love polar bears too :) I have the cutest fluffy polar bear toy that sits on my bed. My lovely fiance did buy it for me! I am just an animal lover :)
I really hope you start feeling lots better. Being ill, and being ill for so long is just dreadful
    hugs, Tracy

Hi I just wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog too :)

    That first photo is amazing!

I've only ever seen polar bears once up close and it was in Singapore Zoo and I was amazed at how yellow in colour they were - I always thought they were more white/cream!!
